The Soulmate That Wasn’t Meant to Be

Kris holds her chest as she leans against the wall in her bedroom. She tries to hold it in and then she can’t anymore and she let the tears fall down her cheek. She chokes on her breath trying to keep herself together. She thought to herself how could she let this happen how could she not see the signs. She just found out the guy she has been waiting for and have been getting close with has chosen someone else. She put her heart on the line.

“How do I move on? How can I be so stupid to but my heart out for him?” Kris whispers to herself. She stands up and slowly walks to her bed. Once she sat on her queen size bed her phone notification went off it was her friend.

“Hey I’m going out tonight and was wondering if you would like to join.” She read the text three times thinking what she should text back. Question if she should go out it help clear her mind.

“Yeah let me get ready.” She goes to her mirror and says “You are alright.” In the back of her mind, she wonders on how will she ever love another person again and how does she trust another guy. She looks at herself and wipes her tears away and washes her face. She starts to put makeup on and download a dating app hoping that will help her move on. She just wants to turn off her feelings and her emotions.

Kris hears her phone go off, and she looks at it her friend let her now she is just parking the car. Kris Looks at herself in the mirror and sees herself in the mirror and tells herself “You’re beautiful.” She grabs her phone and wallet and head outside to meet her friend. She sees her friend’s car right across the street she quickly walks across the four lane streets.

Kris then froze she noticed the guy that she likes and trying to get over is in the passenger seat of the car. Her feelings all came back at once like someone just hit her in the chest. “You can do this just put a fake smile on and get through this.” She thought to herself. Her eyes started tearing up again. “I’m unready to be friends again.” She instantly felt her knees starting to become weak. He does not know how she felt about him she never told him but she was hoping he could tell as they grew closer to each other. Her vision started to go bleary as tears filled her eyes. Then she saw her friend yelling at her but could not hear her. Then she noticed a bright light off to her left it was a huge truck honking at her screeching there tires.

In the moment she tried moving, but she knew what was about to happen. She knew in that moment he was a soulmate that wasn’t meant to be. Then she felt pain and tasted blood. She could feel herself hit the pavement. Then eternal darkness filled her sight and the considerable pain was gone.
