Solstice Moon

 As the Solstice moon rises today, we prepare for the year's longest night. We gather with loved ones around a crackling fire keeping us warm or wrapped up in a blanket on the couch with a mug of spiced cider, and a book, sharing stories of Yuletide and joyful hopes for next year. Beyond the window outside nature prepares for the frost and the winter to come with snow falling cloaking trees and silencing out the world around. The sky filled with a million tiny diamonds reminds us that this night will end when our sun rises again. This longest night serves as a reminder of the cyclical nature and life.
